Cookie Policy

Which cookies and browser-storage technologies Nerivo AI actually uses, why they exist, how long they last, and how you can control them.

Effective: [EFFECTIVE DATE]Last updated: [LAST UPDATED]

In short

Nerivo AI does not set its own cookies. Some Google services loaded by the Service set their own. This policy lists what is set, what is stored in your browser, and how to manage it.

Some details in this document are still marked as pending confirmation and appear in square brackets. They are left deliberately visible rather than filled in with assumed values.

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Nerivo AI, operated by Noveriks Team and available at https://www.nerivo.noveriks.com, uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we handle personal information.

Where this policy refers to cookies, the same explanation generally applies to comparable browser technologies such as local storage and session storage, which we also use.

2. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. Cookies let a site recognise a browser across requests — for example, to keep you signed in or to measure how a site is used.

Browser storage — local storage and session storage — works differently. Data stored there stays on your device and is read by scripts running on a site, but it is not automatically attached to every request the way a cookie is. Session storage is cleared when the browser tab is closed; local storage persists until it is cleared or removed by the site.

Both are covered here, because both can be used to recognise a returning visitor or to hold preferences.

3. Our Approach: No First-Party Cookies

Our own application code does not set cookies. Authentication sessions, your preferences, your consent choices, and the Service’s local state are held in browser storage instead of first-party cookies.

Some cookies may nevertheless be present in your browser because of third-party services that the Service loads, as described in the next section.

4. Cookies Set by Third-Party Services

The Service currently loads two Google services: Google Analytics 4 (used to measure aggregate usage) and Google Tag Manager (used to manage tags). These services set their own cookies in your browser.

CookieSet byPurposeCategoryDurationRequired
_gaGoogle Analytics 4Distinguishes users so usage can be measured in aggregateAnalyticsUp to 2 yearsOptional
_ga_<measurement-id>Google Analytics 4Maintains session state for the configured measurement propertyAnalyticsUp to 2 yearsOptional
Cookies set by tags inside the containerGoogle Tag ManagerTag Manager itself loads the tags configured in the container; those tags, not Tag Manager, determine whether further cookies are setTo be confirmedTo be confirmedOptional

Google Analytics 4 cookie names follow a documented pattern. The exact `_ga_<measurement-id>` cookie depends on the measurement ID configured for the Service.

Google Tag Manager is a container rather than an analytics product. Tag Manager itself does not decide what is tracked; the tags configured inside the container do. If advertising or other tags are added to that container later, additional cookies may be set, and this policy will be updated before that happens.

5. Browser Storage We Use

These entries are set by our own code and remain on your device. They are not cookies and are not transmitted to us automatically.

6. Categories of Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary

Required for the Service to function — for example, keeping you authenticated and remembering your consent choice. We do not use cookies for this purpose, but we do use browser storage, which is essential to the Service working at all. These cannot be switched off without breaking core functionality.

Functional

Remember choices you have made so the Service behaves consistently, such as your selected AI model, theme, voice settings, and optional personalisation. Disabling these degrades your experience but does not prevent you using the Service.

Analytics

Used to understand how the Service is used in aggregate. Google Analytics 4 cookies fall into this category. Some on-device usage metrics are also stored locally by our own code and never leave your device.

Performance

Not currently used. We do not load performance-monitoring cookies or third-party error-monitoring services.

Marketing or advertising

Not currently used. We do not operate advertising, and we do not load advertising networks.

8. How to Manage Cookies

You can control cookies and browser storage through your browser:

  • Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and delete local and session storage, through their privacy or site-data settings.
  • Blocking all cookies may prevent parts of some websites from working, including keeping you signed in.
  • Browser "private" or "incognito" modes typically discard session data when the window is closed.

To limit Google Analytics specifically, Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on. You can also adjust Google advertising and personalisation settings in your Google account.

Clearing browser storage for this Service will sign you out locally and reset your stored preferences, including your consent choice — so you will be asked again.

9. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers can send a signal indicating that you do not wish to be tracked, such as Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. These signals are not universally standardised.

Because the analytics and tag-management services are loaded independently of a consent choice, we cannot currently guarantee that such a signal prevents them from loading. We intend to make the consent layer control the loading of those services, which would allow these signals to be honoured properly. In the meantime, we honour a direct opt-out request sent to the contact address below.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if the technologies we use change. Where a change introduces a new category of cookie or a new provider, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before the change takes effect.
